Do I Have Restless Leg Syndrome?

Restless leg syndrome is also referred to as RLS. It is often described as an irresistible urge to move your legs to stop uncomfortable feelings or sensations.

It could be charaterized as antsy legs. Depending on the severity of your symptoms you may also experience burning, itching, insect like crawling in the legs.

Because your more active during the day, these symptoms often occur in the evening when your relaxed, just sitting, perhaps watching tv or reading. And at bedtime, when your laying down trying to sleep.

Then suddenly, you get this achy, antsy feeling in your legs where you need to stand up and walk around or stretch to relieve the feelings. Unfortunately, it's only a temporary relief. Since there is no cure, finding temporary relief remedies is better than no relief at all.

Since there is no test to diagnose RLS, a discussion with your doctor may be in order to determine if you have a sleep disorder or some other medical reason for these symptoms.

If your symptoms are mild you may not go to the doctor and just search for a remedy or relief on your own.
